Pleasing sounds to the Lord.

1. Lord, make me twice as good as I am today tomorrow, and may my brother be ten times better.

2. My Father, give me enough musical challenges so that I'm not bored and not too much that I'm overwhelmed.

3. Lord, raise the desire in me to be a strong musician. Let that ambition not be marked by 'lazy wants.' Give me an apt understanding of cause and effect in work. May I practice diligently.

4. Gracious God, make us this week to appear in your sanctuary with joyful singing and would you bless us out of Zion.

5. Generous Lord, may I carry the weighty blessing of working as a musician with gladness understanding the heaviness of it is good.

6. Wise God, grant me wisdom to understand how Christ tends to music.

7. My God, who is a consuming fire, give me the mindfulness to remember the blessing you've given me as I serve you and others with music. May I not forget.

8. Eternal Lord, give me eyes to see the progress I've made. Make me thankful for all my growth that you've provided. Keep me patient as I grow.

9. King of Praise, let me be a father/mother of many skilled musicians who strongly minister with their songs.

10. My God, bless this practice time more than the work I put into it can yield, and make it more successful than I deserve.

11. Blessed Jesus, give my voice strength to proclaim your praises loudly. Give my spirit fervor when it comes to singing of your mighty triumph.

12. Lord of Hosts, bless me with a heart full of adoration towards you, so that I may properly enjoy and work at music.

13. My omnipresent Father, may I have the wisdom and discipline to see everything I do as a performance to you.

14. Kind Savior, practice is difficult. The learning of music is challenging. May I have the strength to stay the course knowing the truth in Romans 5:3–5.

15. Father, teach us to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross.

16. Lord, you have created us by the Word of your mouth. May our words be pure as yours are. The words of your music are true. May the music we make, and love, be true as well.

17. Father, we are to control our tongues. Grant the psalms and hymns that we sing to have power over our tongues.

18. God, we know that our time, money, and tongue show us where our treasures lay. May all of those things be holy in our life.
